What is TEDxBrixton

It’s a day dedicated to innovations and ideas coming out of Brixton and South London. It is filled with brilliant speakers, thought-provoking activities and mind-blowing conversation, and it is aimed at putting Brixton on the global map for positive reasons.

How is TEDxBrixton organised

TEDxBrixton was founded by a long-term resident of Brixton, Stephanie Busari, is entirely managed by volunteers and funded by local businesses and organisations who want to create create a unique gathering in Brixton that will unleash new ideas, inspire and inform.

About TEDxBrixton 2015

The TEDxBrixton conference will be held at the Brixton Recreation Centre (Brixton REC) on 10th October 2015. Registration starts at 12:30pm. The event will begin at 1.30pm and finish at around 8pm.

Tickets to the main event sell out very fast (they’re already sold out for the 2015 event) so there’s other opportunities people can get involved:

For £100 you can purchase a patron ticket, which includes a ticket to the exclusive Speakers’ & Sponsors reception on October 8 2015, plus the best seats in the house for the conference, a free t-shirt and special recognition as a valued TEDxBrixton supporter.

TEDxBrixton at the Ritzy

Free live streaming of TEDxBrixton Upstairs at the Ritzy, from 1pm to 6pm. Simply turn up.

TEDxBrixton at Pop Brixton

Free live streaming of TEDxBrixton from 1pm until the end of the conference in the newly built Pop Box, the multi-use arts and event space

Innovation Alley at Pop Brixton

In addition to the speakers and performers who will grace the stage of the Brixton Rec, we’ll be in Pop with an Innovation Alley, showcasing South London’s most innovative companies and individuals.

Photo competition: The Chronicles of Brixton

Post a photo which answers the question ‘What’s the one thing you’d save from a fire?‘ using the hashtag #BrixtonChronicles. Some will be selected to be part of a Kaleidoscopic art installation, which will be shown at our event and shared on our website and social media. Make sure you post your photo by 30 September!

Volunteer

TEDxBrixton is entirely managed by volunteers. All volunteer positions have now been filled, but follow us on social media to know when new positions arise!
