Decorating Your Deck With Planters - Learn How
You will have a few restrictions regarding the size and shape of the backyard. It also depends a lot on the landscaper who is doing the work. He might have to excavate some parts of your backyard land which might have you alarmed in the first place. And it will not be right to get annoyed by the chunk of dirt you will have to carry away.
The majority of the brick patio pavers need a 4-inch sand base underneath, so the can provide you with some cushion in between the underlying hard ground or the bricks. This will prevent the ultimate product from getting out of ideal level. Moreover, the real depth of that ground which needs being excavated will depend a lot on the depth of the brick. It also matters how far on the ground level you want it to be.
As you are researching patio ideas there are several issues to consider. Lighting, furnishings, heating and the sorts of outdoor activities you will want to utilize it for. Will your family use this outdoor space primarily for relaxing or do you prefer to utilize it as an additional living and entertaining area?

1. Tell us a bit about your background? I’m the partnerships manager, which means I look after our relationships with local businesses and sponsors.2. What’s your favourite thing to do in Brixton? I’ve lived her for a while now and this answer changes weekly, but at the moment I love hot yoga classes at Fierce Grace, after which I stagger down the road to Lucy’ Juices for a pick me up. As I expect most people who live here say, Brixton Market is a favourite spot – Fish Wings and Tings is an institution and Dave from Market Row wines will always find you a great bottle. Oh, and Three Eight Four on Coldharbour Lane does the best cocktails I can find.3. What’s your interpretation of this years’ theme ‘Kaleidoscopes’? I’ve been working with a lot of local businesses this year and the theme has been very meaningful for a lot of people, as it represents the mash-up of old and new that Brixton is currently experiencing.4. What book(s) are you currently reading? What’s it about? A few! Currently switching, depending on my mood, between Tim Jackson’s Prosperity without Growth (he has a great TED talk by the way) and Michael Ondaatje’s The English Patient, which is a favourite of my dad’s, so he’s chuffed I am finally reading it.5. What’s your favourite TED talk? An all time great and one that I always pass on to others is Jackson Katz – Violence Against Women: It’s a Men’s Issue. Heavy title I know, but just a genius argument and one that never fails to spark debate.

The multi-award winning youth led social enterprise was formed in Brixton Village under the direction of visual arts space 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning, a platform known for supporting the careers of emerging artists and advocating cultural diversity. It was this opportunity that created access for HustleBucks to catapult real change in the community. “Designing t-shirts and printing them led to us launching campaign with a collection of relevant topics such as ‘Ghustlebucks 3un and Knife Crime’ and ‘Different Endz’, which were sold at local events and market stalls. Shortly after, we partnered with Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design to develop a collection for our first fashion show that would launch our Pop-Up Shop in March 2010.”
Samuel and the team are passionate about helping their community hope to leave a legacy in Brixton that would help advance other youth-led brands. “My advice to local business owners is to think big and plan for success. Focus on your value proposition. Leverage your network; connect with a brand strategist and leaders in your field that can analyse your business and help you scale it to the next level.”
