Roi Cohen Kadosh

Roi Cohen Kadosh is a Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Oxford. His research focus on human brain and cognition and ways to improve them. He was the first to observe that combining numerical training with transcranial electrical stimulation, a non-invasive, painless, portable, and relatively cheap technique, can enhance numerical learning and mathematical abilities in adults with long lasting effect.

Since then he expanded his research to assess the impact of this approach to improve cognitive functions in elderly and children with learning difficulties. He has repeatedly drawn both scientific and public attention to the ethical implications of using brain stimulation for cognitive enhancement and has discussed its possible advantages and pitfalls. For his pioneer work he has received prestigious awards in the fields of neuroscience and psychology.
