Paper picture frames can be purchased in many home improvement stores or paper shops. You can also get great finds in Amazon, Kmart, Adorama, and DTY Direct.
However, if you want to take a crack at making your own frame using paper, all you need is corrugated paper, glue, a pencil, a ruler, a pair of scissors, and your choice of decorations. First thing you need to do is measure the picture you'll be placing in the frame and checking if it's landscape or portrait. You don't want to place a landscape photo in a portrait frame.
Take two pieces of corrugated paper and determine how big your frame is going to be and cut both pieces in equal sizes. Pick which piece will be the front part of the frame and take it for measurement. Take the picture you'll be using and use it to measure the opening of your frame. Make sure the opening is about half an inch smaller on each side compared to the picture since you don't want your photo to pop out of the frame.
When you've cut the opening, you can then glue the two piece of paper together; making sure the corrugated part is on the outside. Note that you only need to glue three sides of the paper since the last side will be used to get the picture in. When this is done, you can now get creative with how you decorate the frame. Go with stickers, tiny objects, or printed captions - it's up to you.
As for how you will display your DIY paper picture frames, you have two choices. You can attach a small hook at the back of your frame and hang it on your wall, or stick a thick triangle shaped paper at the back to serve as a stand.
