As you are researching patio ideas there are several issues to consider. Lighting, furnishings, heating and the sorts of outdoor activities you will want to utilize it for. Will your family use this outdoor space primarily for relaxing or do you prefer to utilize it as an additional living and entertaining area?
Spring is just around the corner and with the nicer weather comes the urge to get out of doors and enjoy the warm weather. Your patio or deck is the perfect place to relax or to enjoy a meal during the warm summer months and what could be more enjoyable than to use outdoor planters to decorate your patio or deck and turn it into a comfortable garden oasis.
The insiders' view on paver patio designs
You will have a few restrictions regarding the size and shape of the backyard. It also depends a lot on the landscaper who is doing the work. He might have to excavate some parts of your backyard land which might have you alarmed in the first place. And it will not be right to get annoyed by the chunk of dirt you will have to carry away.

We wouldn’t be able to put on such an incredible event if it wasn’t for the help of our sponsorship team. These guys boast a unique ability for sourcing the most suitable supporters to raise the profile of TEDxBrixton. Due to their strong experience in fundraising, they create and manage the budget, raise money from sponsors and oversee our partnerships program and live streaming venues. 1. Tell us a bit about your background? I’m the partnerships manager, which means I look after our relationships with local businesses and sponsors.2. What’s your favourite thing to do in Brixton? I’ve lived her for a while now and this answer changes weekly, but at the moment I love hot yoga classes at Fierce Grace, after which I stagger down the road to Lucy’ Juices for a pick me up. As I expect most people who live here say, Brixton Market is a favourite spot – Fish Wings and Tings is an institution and Dave from Market Row wines will always find you a great bottle. Oh, and Three Eight Four on Coldharbour Lane does the best cocktails I can find.3. What’s your interpretation of this years’ theme ‘Kaleidoscopes’? I’ve been working with a lot of local businesses this year and the theme has been very meaningful for a lot of people, as it represents the mash-up of old and new that Brixton is currently experiencing.4. What book(s) are you currently reading? What’s it about? A few! Currently switching, depending on my mood, between Tim Jackson’s Prosperity without Growth (he has a great TED talk by the way) and Michael Ondaatje’s The English Patient, which is a favourite of my dad’s, so he’s chuffed I am finally reading it.5. What’s your favourite TED talk? An all time great and one that I always pass on to others is Jackson Katz – Violence Against Women: It’s a Men’s Issue. Heavy title I know, but just a genius argument and one that never fails to spark debate.
