A focal point can be anything from the front door itself, a beautiful wreath on your front door or perhaps a wicker table, chairs, and colorful table cloth. Or, it could be beautiful hanging baskets, a work of art (painting or sculpture), or perhaps a favorite rocker or swing. Above all, make sure your "focal point" is obvious and it should be a great conversation starter.

Queen Anne/Victorian Porch
This style of porch is easy to spot because of their grand towering columns. They are a well beloved porch dating back to the early days of America and have an English flair. If you choose the more extensive deck
one that wraps the pool, the most basic will have enough room to walk around the far side of the pool. It will have a deck area large enough to put a chair or two. And will have a protective fence so you can't fall off and also to keep out trespassers. It attaches to the pool and can be fully customized. If you have bigger plans you may want to consult someone who specializes in above ground pool deck designs. They will be able to help you save money where you might not otherwise see it.

Binki Taylor was the first of our 17 speakers to take to the stage and left the crowd in standing ovation with a moving story on her childhood as a black girl fostered by an all-white family. “I know exactly what it’s like to have a voice that isn’t understood. You feel like you don’t belong. Under the skin is where I found my voice. I had to tackle how to belong from the bottom.”Rebecca Trevalyan, Sam Hall and Steadman Scott also delivered their pieces on what Brixton means to them and thoughts on improving local communities. “What does Afewee mean? It’s for the community, it’s for us. Our mission is to put belief, passion, hard-work and discipline together,” Steadman explained.
