Outdoor planters are ideal for turning that city patio into a country garden especially if you are renting. Using planters means that you can create your own little garden without digging up the landlord's property. By using outdoor containers of different shapes, sizes, and materials you can easily turn that dull city patio into a beautiful country garden. Choose a variety of interesting plants both shrubs and flowers. Perhaps a rose bush, and a few daisies and black eyed Susan and use them to create your own private and intimate patio garden. Remember even a small city patio probably has room for a small planter holding a miniature rose bush. So simply use your imagination and draw up a plan so you know just how you want your patio to look.
You can hang two or three hanging outdoor planters from the roof of your deck to add a splash of color to your entire deck. One great way to use hanging planters is to match the color of flowers in the planters to the colors in your outdoor furniture cushions. This will make your entire deck seem brighter and alive with color. For those of you who want their deck to be a little more private then hanging several planters with long trailing plants along your deck roof with give you the sense of privacy that you long for while creating a wonderful and beautiful ambiance for you to enjoy. By choosing large colorful flowers to put into your hanging planters you can create the feeling of being in a tree house in the middle of a rain forest.

Desert Ornamental Grasses
There is also the Angelina Sedum, which adds a breath of yellow to a garden. This small, slow growing succulent is a low-lying plant that is more of a ground cover than an upright variety. The delicate golden yellow flowers will brighten your desert landscape and your spirits.

If you are getting ready to send someone off to college for the first time, or are going yourself, the preparations can be intimidating, not to mention the emotions. There are so many things to consider: supplies for your room, electronics, clothes, books; you name it. You want to have what is needed, as well as what looks nice. After all, your dorm room is going to be your home-away-from-home for quite a while, and you want it to be attractive as well as comfortable. It's easy to overcompensate, and bring too much stuff. But dorm rooms just aren't that big, so you have to be careful about what you end up bringing. It might be best to start with the basics. Dorm rooms are essentially for sleeping and studying in. (Well, OK, socializing is important too.)
With comforters, it's easy to make the bed. Pull the sheets up, throw on the comforter and pillows, and that's it. You're done. Looks great even if it's not perfect.

Most of us have at least some type of look or style we'd like for our front porch: country, Victorian, Southern, contemporary, southwestern, Tuscan, eclectic or even a sports theme. Or perhaps you want a seasonal look depending on the time of year - spring or fall decorating, for example. Some prefer, especially those along the coast, a nautical look. Others, like in the southwest, might prefer a western theme. This will help determine the items you want to display on your porch. Look at garage sales, flea markets, your dollar store, or a thrift shop to find items like pictures for your wall, furniture, tables or other charming knick knacks to carry out your theme. Chances are you have some items in your home already that you can re-purpose for your porch.
How will you use your porch the most? Will it be a gathering place for relaxing in the evening? Perhaps you want a place to listen to music or share an intimate glass of wine? Will you be entertaining on your porch? Do you want to create a private nook for reading or writing? Knowing how you will use your porch will help you select the right furniture and accessories.

Where is the best place to hang out? After deciding on which place to make as the hang out spot, start stuffing it with eyecandy upholstery. Club chairs or large sofas can do the work of making that area really conducive to lounging. Ottomans or customized sectionals are great, too, just as long as you have the budget, of course. Place an armoire, too, for a more accented look for that lounging area.

Just as many contemporary homes are, the French home's focus is the French country kitchen. When looking for kitchen decorating ideas, don't forget kitchen wall decor. There are a wide variety of French ceramics to adorn your walls in your new French interior design.
When it comes to the basic components of a French country home, keep in mind what creates the warmth and inviting feeling. Many French homes are colored in deep, rich colors and decorated with furniture that is as ornate as a work of art. Combine this with the accents of wonderful French urns, lamps and other accessories to help complete the look and feel of rustic home decor.

I found the easiest way to start was to make a pattern on paper first of what ever shape you want your ornament to be (circle, square, heart) or you could even make a snowman or Santa. Then cut out you paper pattern and trace it on the cork-board, now your ready to cut out your ornament. When cutting the cork board just be careful it breaks easily. Next punch a whole at the top of your ornament, this will be where you hang your ornament from. Now for the fun part, grab a bunch of puffy paints in all different colors and began decorating and designing your own unique ornament. Once the ornament is dry you can tie a piece of ribbon through the whole at the top, this will be your hanger. How to Make a Cork Board Ornament
