2. Use waterproofing paint. You can roll this onto the floor and onto the ceiling (depending on the paint and ceiling type) with a paint roller.
3. Fix outside guttering. Gutters are a huge problem when it comes to basement leaks and erosion. Clearing you're guttering and making sure it pours water away from your home is a crucial step.

The other, cheaper option is to get a freestanding deck. This is a laddered platform that stands next to the pool and has enough room for one or two people to stand. It also has a ladder the leads into the pool. There is a gate around the platform to prevent anyone from falling and injuring themselves. It also has a lock for when you don't want anyone getting in the pool while you are not there. Freestanding decks are the most inexpensive and easiest to install above ground swimming pool decks available. Anything less would be a simple A-frame ladder that fits across the pool ledge.
one that wraps the pool, the most basic will have enough room to walk around the far side of the pool. It will have a deck area large enough to put a chair or two. And will have a protective fence so you can't fall off and also to keep out trespassers. It attaches to the pool and can be fully customized. If you have bigger plans you may want to consult someone who specializes in above ground pool deck designs. They will be able to help you save money where you might not otherwise see it.

Self-confessed ‘crush-addict’ Isabelle O’Carroll had our audience in fits of laughter discussing her theory on crushes. “Some people say that their crushes are so strong it prevents them from eating or even sleeping! But crushes can be such a powerful motivator making you change your life or a strong comforter in times of depression.”Other highlights during our third quarter included Alex Lambert’s gripping topic on creativity, ideas and technology, Inua Ellams’ insightful talk on mental health issues in men and Sabah Choudrey’s moving story on being a transgendered Muslim.
We chose the theme because we believe this embodies what Brixton really is. We don’t believe in melting pots, we believe in salad bowls, mosaics and kaleidoscopes – things that allow individual elements to be part of a whole.

1. Tell us a bit about your background? My role within the team is Project Coordinator. I help all the teams where necessary on a variety of tasks and have been working on sourcing the merchandise for the event.2. What’s your favourite thing to do in Brixton? I love going to Brixton Market at the weekend: having a browse and trying all the different food there, picking up fresh bread from the Sunday Farmer’s market and have particularly enjoyed Pop Brixton this summer, especially the savoury crepes from L’Amuse Bouche!3. What’s your interpretation of this years’ theme ‘Kaleidoscopes’? For me, kaleidoscope means something that is rapidly changing, something vibrant and colourful which is full of energy and continuously creating something beautiful that comes together perfectly.4. What book(s) are you currently reading? I am currently reading I Am Pilgrim, a fantastic thriller entwining the lives of a former intelligence officer and an international terrorist – I can’t put it down and would highly recommend!5. What’s your favourite TED talk? There are so many amazing TED talks that I have enjoyed, but one that stands out to me is Susan Cain’s The Power of Introverts because it really examined the social emphasis on being bold, assertive and outgoing and discusses how we should change our perspective and understand the value of introverts. In our society, I think there is bias thinking that the ideal students and employees are extroverts as opposed to introverts, and I think it is important to shed light on the positive differences between the two and strive for more of a cultural balance between the two.

Samuel and the team are passionate about helping their community hope to leave a legacy in Brixton that would help advance other youth-led brands. “My advice to local business owners is to think big and plan for success. Focus on your value proposition. Leverage your network; connect with a brand strategist and leaders in your field that can analyse your business and help you scale it to the next level.”Meet the team hustling to make social good a wearable fashion
With a growing desire for more ethical fashion initiatives, fashion enterprise HustleBucks, co-founded by Samuel Ade Alebioshu, is picking up huge recognition for marrying social good with innovative clothing. “Our ‘hustle’ began in 2009 with a team of young people keen on making a difference through clothing by using it as medium to express ourselves and the issues we felt were relevant,” says Samuel.
