Here are some great ideas for creating more pantry storage in a small kitchen:
Re-organize to make a smarter pantry. Taller items on pantry shelves in back, shorter in front. Use baskets for bulky items and containers to corral small, misc. items.Adjust height of shelves to match the size of the pantry item and maximize the efficiency of your pantry storage space.Consider moving food items to drawers. More items can be stored in a drawer; label tops for quick identification.Install roll-out pantry drawers for easier access. Because you can see more, you can store more.Reclaim a closet.Reclaim storage between studs of wall.Take out the kitchen soffits to move infrequently used items above kitchen cabinets; make new pantry cabinet space below.Delegate pantry food storage outside of the kitchen: under the living room couch or out in the garage.Tuck pantry food items inside decorative furnishings, like a crock.Think on a smaller scale: consider a mini-version of a walk-in pantry.Take 12" out of hallway width for pantry shelves.Recycle wooden crates from wine, mount to walls as a shelf (can get free from wine stores or superstores).Make a skinny box on wheels next to empty space next to your refrigerator (same height) that can wheel out.Use over-the-door racks for extra storage on closet doors. For very narrow doors, take a hanging shoe pouch for over-doors and cut to fit.Purchase an antique or used furniture cabinet at a garage sale or flea market and refit the furniture for pantry use.Hanging up items is an alternative to using cabinet space.Install pantry shelving in kitchen where spices and staples can be stored out in the open.Hang pots up on a pot rack to free space up inside cabinets for pantry goods or keep inside oven when not in use.Put utensils in utensil caddies on the countertop to free up additional pantry space inside cabinets - flatware can be stored also in a decorative container on the table.Take a lesson from closet clothing storage experts and copy their unique storage ideas or even utilize their products for your food storage needs.

Once you have a budget and have decided on your venue, then settle on a date and do it early. You will be competing with lots of other parties this time of year and by getting yours on the calendar first you will avoid conflicts. Next decide on invitations. You can order them online or buy them in the stores. However to save money, you can make them yourself on the computer. There are numerous invitation products available in office supply stores that will give you templates to make your own. Be creative... add graduation clipart, a logo from the college or high school of your graduate or even inset a photo! Unless you have room in your house or are having it off site, ALWAYS plan a rain date. Also make sure you have an RSVP with a date deadline and add your email as well as your phone number. A 'regrets only" RSVP system makes for tricky planning. Recently, I have even seen people use free online invitation services.
Having four children who graduated two years apart, I have been planning high school or college graduation parties for over a decade. The two most important pieces of advice I can offer is to set a budget and plan early. Figure out how much money you have to spend on your celebration. This is critical, as your budget will determine the number of guests you can have and the venue you will use to host your party. Many families have their parties out at restaurants, in halls or other locations. These will cost more money. With four who graduated within a 7-year span, we knew with our oldest that we couldn't set a precedent that we couldn't continue with the rest. So the idea of the "Backyard BBQ" took shape. It's easy, casual and relatively inexpensive. Plus the outdoor theme allows for a larger guest list for your graduate. Our kids invited their friends, fellow grads, teachers, coaches, and of course, all the family. We ran the graduation parties like an open house.

Garage Storage Ceiling
This is one of the types of garage shelving arrangements used in many places where there is not much space even for a car. There's the advantage of taking your shelving high and wide in which case you will still have access to space on the garage floor. This garage storage shelving can allow you to hold bins where you keep such things as light bulbs, tools, seasonal clothing and shoes. The entire garage floor space can still be used by your car and other items like scooters, push mowers, bicycles and other things you may deem fit to store in your garage.

Painting may be your best garage floor idea and this will require some additional preparation. All the cracks that have appeared due to subsidence over the years will have to be fixed first. Also you should put adhesive on the surface before you begin to paint, as this is likely to produce a better final result.

Make sure you have a fair idea about the size of the gazebo you are going to build. Don't try to fit a huge gazebo into a small piece of land. This will end up making you backyard look crowded and will actually decrease the beauty of the landscape. If availability of land is not a problem, then you should base your decision of size, on the purpose of the gazebo. If you are thinking of holding parties inside the gazebo, it is better to allow as much space as possible. On the other hand, if your gazebo is going to be more private then you may be happier with a smaller size. Make sure you gazebo plans have accurate measurements of all dimensions of the gazebo.

Another area that is generally skipped is the space above your kitchen cupboards. Try adding some traditional French kitchen ware and other ceramic or terracotta jars or urns. And a French country kitchen would not be complete without some assortment of copper pots and utensils.
Although it may not be as easy as picking up a home decor catalog, you may be able to accomplish great country French living by careful planning, including your colors, textures, furniture and accessories. Don't have the budget for a household full of antique furniture? Don't worry, you can create the rustic, time-aged look with shabby chic furniture for much less.

Keep in mind is that the fireplace mantle must go well with other architectural elements in the room. Installing a small and relatively plain mantle, when the room includes elements like chair railing or ornate baseboards, might not be a good idea. At the same time, a mantle featuring carved bunches of cherries would look out of place in a contemporary room. Smart thing to do is to go for surrounds that will enhance what you have going on, without causing the room to seem out of balance. How to Choose a Good Wood Fireplace Surround
Technically, a fireplace surround is an architectural element which surrounds a fireplace, providing aesthetic and safety benefits. A fireplace with a fireplace surround can add a bit of romance to any room.
