The multi-award winning youth led social enterprise was formed in Brixton Village under the direction of visual arts space 198 Contemporary Arts and Learning, a platform known for supporting the careers of emerging artists and advocating cultural diversity. It was this opportunity that created access for HustleBucks to catapult real change in the community. “Designing t-shirts and printing them led to us launching campaign with a collection of relevant topics such as ‘Ghustlebucks 3un and Knife Crime’ and ‘Different Endz’, which were sold at local events and market stalls. Shortly after, we partnered with Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design to develop a collection for our first fashion show that would launch our Pop-Up Shop in March 2010.”
That’s what inspired the style of the final piece; you have to really look up close at The Chronicles of Brixton to see what it’s made up of. The question ‘what one thing would you save from a fire?‘ is quite a personal one. The answer can say a lot about a person, and often tell you things about them that you wouldn’t be able to guess. It’s about showing that no matter how we look at a glance, there’s more under the surface. We’re all different, but ultimately the same in the sense that we’re all human with our own stories.
What’s your favourite story or image that you’ve been sent so far?
1. Tell us a bit about your background? I’m TEDxBrixton’s Project Manager. I spend most of my time getting everyone together, keeping everyone communicating and looking at how 2. everything fits together, big picture. As we’re a team of very busy volunteers who can’t always meet in person, I do my best to make sure everyone knows what’s going on around the team and everyone has lots of support.3. What’s your favourite thing to do in Brixton? I love exploring little, undiscovered bits of Brixton. Wondering around the little roads and alleys and taking in the sights, sounds and colours. I’m always stumbling upon awesome new spots such as Bookmongers book shop recently, now a firm favourite second hand book shop! One of my favourite things to do after a TEDx Brixton meeting is grab some lunch and sit in Windrush Square and watch the world go by.4. What’s your interpretation of this years’ theme ‘Kaleidoscopes’? To me, Kaleidoscope is about changing perceptions. You can look at the same thing from a number of different angles and get a new perspective, each as interesting, unique and beautiful as the last.5. What book(s) are you currently reading? What’s it about? As part of my book club (Rebel Book Club in London) I’m reading Doing Good Better by William Macaskill. Only just started it but it promises to be challenging book about making a difference in the world.6. What’s your favourite TED talk? So hard to pick just one! One of the shortest, most powerful talks I’ve seen recently is Drew Dudley – Leading with Lollipops. Such a great talk for showing us the impact we can have in the world.7. What’s your highlight from last year’s event? So many highlights, in particular Judy Claybourne’s talk stood out to me as fascinating, touching and eye opening.

So when you are planning your next kitchen makeover, be sure to include new cabinet hardware on the list. New cabinet handles and knobs can serve several different purposes. For a complete kitchen makeover, they provide the great finishing touch the room needs to tie the whole look together and let the room look and feel "done." But installing new kitchen cabinet hardware is one of those kitchen ideas that is really effective and versatile, because you do not even need to install all new cabinets to take advantage of its benefits. In fact, you do not even have to paint or stain your old cabinets again to get a new look with new hardware.
When you set out to choose your new hardware, take a moment to think about what you want it to accomplish. Obviously, you want it to look good and work well, so keep that in mind while you shop. Look for pieces that are well made and easy to clean. Ease of cleaning is definitely important for kitchen hardware, because it is going to be exposed to food spills and liquid spills and grubby hands. It is important that the pieces be well made, because they will see a lot of use in their lifetimes and you want them to hold up. And, of course, you want to choose something that fits in well with the decor of your kitchen. A warm, traditionally decorated kitchen would pair well with oil rubbed bronze knobs and pulls, and a contemporary and modern styled kitchen pairs well with stainless steel and other sleek metal hardware. Choose the pieces that suit you and your lifestyle best and you'll love what a difference your new hardware makes on your cabinets and your kitchen as a whole.

making and executing a plan to use 'hard' materials such as concrete, brick, timber, metal (usually iron or copper) and the like to beautify an environment. Some hardscape design professionals also readily incorporate water features into their designs, as most fountains and such are 'hard' materials in the first place.Hardscape Design Professionals Make Short Work of Long Lasting Beauty

The type of bed that has upholstery on the bedstead, this will soften the impact of the bedroom furniture and also give the grey a soft area to reflect from. The bed linen should be a mixture of grey tones, but the key here is to put in a shocking colour, such as a hot pink, this will bring life into the bed and the contrasting tones will elevate the bedroom into a sophisticated area of the home.
The key with grey is to choose use it as you would for any other type of neutral colour, such as magnolia or cream. There is no need to be fearful of it, as it is neutral and will site well in any room of the house. Not only that, it is a very practical colour and if you follow the latest trends you will notice it is the 'in' colour to go with.

Having four children who graduated two years apart, I have been planning high school or college graduation parties for over a decade. The two most important pieces of advice I can offer is to set a budget and plan early. Figure out how much money you have to spend on your celebration. This is critical, as your budget will determine the number of guests you can have and the venue you will use to host your party. Many families have their parties out at restaurants, in halls or other locations. These will cost more money. With four who graduated within a 7-year span, we knew with our oldest that we couldn't set a precedent that we couldn't continue with the rest. So the idea of the "Backyard BBQ" took shape. It's easy, casual and relatively inexpensive. Plus the outdoor theme allows for a larger guest list for your graduate. Our kids invited their friends, fellow grads, teachers, coaches, and of course, all the family. We ran the graduation parties like an open house.Make Your Graduation Party One of a Kind!
